Contributors to 
Roxie Davis Price Scholarship Fund

 
This scholarship was established on January 27, 2003, the 99th birthday of Roxie Davis Price, with a founding gift from her estate following her death on December 9, 2002. It is being perpetuated with continuing gifts from the nieces and nephews of her family and from others who believe, as she did, that all children should be afforded the opportunity of beginning their lives in a caring environment.

Mrs. Price had no children of her own, and thus her family consists entirely of nieces and nephews who are the children and grandchildren of four of her sisters and their husbands:

       Anneta Gertrude Davis, who married George Albert Kitts, Sr.
       Mary Tennessee Davis, who married Claude Eugene Knight, Sr.
       Lucy Jane Davis, who married William Patrick Abbott
       Nina Bell Davis, who married Robert E. Mapes

Her sister Golda Trula Emmaline Davis, who married Earl Hall, has no living descendants, nor do her two brothers, James Edward Davis and Samuel Morgan Davis.
